Group Operations Manager
Full Time | at Hotel Group

We are currently seeking a full time Group Operations Manager to join our team. The Group Operations Manager is responsible to ensure the continuing success of our properties by focusing on achieving team results and provide a high level of customer service by overseeing the day to day operation of our properties. Leading the team with a hands on approach is essential as this role is responsible for the operation of the hotel including but not limited to front desk, reservations, maintenance and housekeeping. It is essential that the successful candidate has a strong background in room division manager, in particular, strong housekeeping management, recruitment and training skills. The ability to work on weekends is a must, local resident highly regarded.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Hold a current RLA licence areas or be willing to obtain one
  • Manage, record and resolve promptly Guest or customer complaints
  • Ensure a very high level of customer service is constantly maintained
  • Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with all properties
  • Maintain staffing levels to meet business demands
  • Live onsite including after hours assistance
  • Comply with fire regulations and all health and safety legislation

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong housekeeping management skills
  • Strong recruiment and training skills
  • Ideally Body Corporate experience

We are currently seeking an energetic, customer focused and experienced Casual Housekeeping Team Leader to assist in the day to day supervision and effective running of the housekeeping team at Heart Hotel and Gallery Whitsundaya. Working closely with management you will be responsible to ensure consistently clean rooms and an overall positive experience for our guests. Working closely with the Guest Services Managers, housekeeping and reception teams you will be responsible to ensure well maintained rooms and public areas. Duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day general maintenance duties within the hotel rooms and public areas
  • Respond promptly to maintenance issues and emergency calls
  • Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in proper condition
  • Ensuring our high quality standards are maintained
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service when engaging with Guests
  • Basic gardening duties

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel

We are on the lookout for Housekeeping Room Attendants to join our housekeeping team to work at multiple properties across the group. Previous experience preferred however a positive attitude and superior, friendly customer service ethic essential. Casual roles available, ability to work on weekends is a must, local resident highly regarded.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Servicing/Cleaning the Apartments/Public Areas
  • Maintaining linen and stock requirements
  • Undertake special cleaning projects
  • Follow the procedures for all lost property items
  • Communicate maintenance issues
